"We called in by chance on Sunday evening and just got in. Returned this Thursday , same menu but this did not matter. Friendly attentive staff and my wife's fillet of beef was the best she can remember definitely worth a visit."

We ate here twice during our stay in St Jacut de la Mer. Nothing else in the vacinity of such classic quality. We went for the menu gastronomic. 45 Euros, but worth it for the quality. We tried all the options - a lovely fish in filo pastry, fois gras or oysters for starters. Mains were the best - the most succulent filet steak, a wonderful fish and mushroom risotto and a turbot dish with veg - all exceptionally good, certainly Michelin quality. Best pudding was a fig and white cheese combo. Sounds odd, but really delicious. Lovely waitress. Pleasant atmosphere. Need to time visit as closed in evenings Mon-Weds (lunch only Mon and Tues) and although not advertised as being closed Sunday evening, when we tried to book, they were obviously too quiet to open (lunch a bigger thing on Sunday).
This restaurant has been consistently good for the last seven or so years. We go maybe two or three times a year when on holiday in the area and have never been disappointed. You do need to book - understandably, as it is excellent. Not cheap, but very good value and worth every euro. Nice atmosphere, and very welcoming but quite formal (as with most good French restaurants)
We came upon this restaurant by chance when looking for somewhere to go for coffee. It has a large car park just opposite. When we saw the quality of food being served we stayed for lunch. I could not recommend it highly enough. The decor adds to the ambiance. The service is attentive. The food very flavoursome.
