Restaurant de la Marine Terrasse

Unlike some other TA reviewers we found this restaurant delightful. The staff were very friendly, spoke English and gave us English menus. The restaurant resides by the canal that links the Loire with the Seine in the somewhat quaint village of Combleaux. Unfortunately we could not sit by the canal due to rain but inside the atmosphere was great. The food and the wines of the Loire were really good.

We have been coming here for six years and have always enjoyed our meal, surroundings and the staff. We are Americans and speak very little French but have always been welcome, even without a reservation. Food is varied and a good price, 29 euros for three courses. Nice, fair, varied wine list. They have a wonderful location in a charming village. We will continue to return here whenever we can.

Ate outside on the waterfront with my husband, parents and in-laws... felt slightly apprehensive after seeing the other reviews, as we are a mixture of nationlities. Found the staff charming and pleasant... the waiter had a good sense of humour! Food was lovely? We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals, would recommend it!

Ideal in spring and summer ,why not in autumn the restaurant offers one of best view on the Loire .Lunch or Diner can be taken outside . Its mandatory to book before there

The staff can't speak any other language but French,not even they try to understand guests☹️They do not really want to serve people.
