One of the few mentionable restaurants alongside the beautiful Plaine tree ringed pool at Cucuron. Forgive the indifferent older waiters (hopefully you'll get a young and caring summer youth) and sit back with some pate and a good local red wine and just soak it all in. Depending on the vibe you are looking for, you may want to avoid market days, which offer an experience equally great, but with quite a bit more bustle. Having lived in the area for a year, I would recommend just outside the tourist season when you can enjoy in quiet. Such a unique and beautiful spot.
Nous avons mangé ici plusieurs fois lors de différentes visites à Cucuron et cela ne nous a jamais déçus. Le menu est limité mais la nourriture est bien préparée avec des ingrédients locaux, bien que les légumes manquent de variété et pourraient être un peu plus chauds. Le service est rapide, peut-être un peu trop rapide, et le personnel fait peu d'efforts pour aider ceux qui ne parlent pas français. La réservation est essentielle aux heures de pointe, en particulier si vous voulez une table près de l'étang. Mention spéciale pour la tarte au chocolat et au caramel.
Restaurant de l'Etang offers great food, great wine, and a picturesque location next to the famous Cucuron pool. As with many Provencal restaurants, opting for "Le Menu" si always good value. On this occasion I had as good a steak as I have had anywhere, served on half a baked potato, and with a red berry/wine reduction. One bit of advice: Do not confuse the excellent Restaurant de l'Etang, with the disappointing Cafe l'Etang next door. The menus and prices may look similar, but the quality is a world apart.
Déjeuner au bord de l'Étang à Cucuron pittoresque, par une journée chaude et ensoleillée, sous les magnifiques platanes, difficile de trouver mieux. La cuisine était excellente, le service efficace et le prix raisonnable. Ma femme et moi avons visité pour la dernière fois il y a deux ans, et depuis, il y a eu une amélioration notable. Réservez une table maintenant
C'était la meilleure cuisine française que nous ayons eu depuis le début de 2017 ici en France. Nous avons pris le plat du jour pour le déjeuner et tout était délicieux. Nous étions là quand le marché était là aussi. Nous sommes fans du film "Un bon cru" et l'étang à côté du restaurant (l'étang) est l'un des lieux.
This restaurant in Cucuron is fantastic and a must for dinner when here! Price was very reasonable, so have a look at the set menu option, very affordable. Housewine is good, and presentation and portions well balanced. Would definitely eat here again if in the area. Beautiful setting too! Thank you!
