Restaurant Des Alpes

Wir wollten uns mit unseren Freunden und unseren Kindern eine Auszeit gönnen und entschieden uns für ein Zmittag im Restaurant "Des Alpes". Leider kamen wir mit einem Lachen und gingen mit einem weinenden Auge. Hier die Gründe, weshalb sich der Besuch so katastrophal entwickelte:Begrüssung fehlt ganz (weder ein Wort noch ein Lächeln)unfreundliche Bedienung durch WirtenpaarGehässigkeiten werden in der Wirtenfamilie getauscht und verbreiten eine sehr ungute StimmungSpielzimmer für Kinder existiert, darf aber anscheinend nicht benutzt werden. Besitzer greifen ein, bevor man selbst die Kinder zurecht weisen kann und die Unordnung soll schon nach 15 Minuten aufgeräumt werden. (Dass die Schweiz ni...

We were staying in Kandersteg for the fifth time, and ate again on a couple of occasions during the week at Des Alpes. Initially we visited as a small group and on the second occasion as a group of 35 people. On both visits the...food was delivered together and was to a very high standard. It is amazing how they can produce such high quality food and with such good service. On the first visit I had the blue cheese burger followed by plum ice cream. Really nice. On the second occasion I had a calzone pizza and coffee ice cream. Again superb. A great restaurant where you can eat happily in a quiet corner as a couple or as a larger party.

We had an amazing dinner at Des Alpes last night. My partner had the Rösti mit Vorderschinken und Ei (Rosti with Ham and Egg) and I had the Pizza Calzone. Both were exceptional. I’d highly recommend having Burkie’s weissbier, it’s just as good as when...we first had it 8 years ago. This is the perfect location to have a nice, quiet, romantic dinner with the beautiful blue lake just off the back deck. Thank you for having us again Burkie. Highly recommended.

Vor unserem Langlauftag wollten wir eine kurze Kaffeepause machen. als Familie setzten wir uns an die Bar - nicht alle wollten was konsumieren (von 5 Personen, Eine nicht)... Diese wurde aus der Bar verscheucht mit dem Hinweis: "Wir sind keine Wärmestube"So etwas unfreundliches haben wir noch nie erlebt.... sehr schade!! Réservez une table maintenant

We ate here during our stay in Kandersteg. Ate the rosti and Wiener schnitzel and both were great. Sat outside on a beautiful evening. Returned later with friends for ice cream and everyone in our party of 6 stated that the ice cream was delicious. Would recommend!

This is my daughters favourite restaurant in Kandersteg. We enjoyed 2 meals here, excellent food and really good prices. Lovely atmosphere, there is a bar area and a large dining room. The staff are very attentive, we had 2 pleasant evenings here.

We had a meal here during the stay at the neighboring Ruedihus farm, where we had a mediocre meal the night before and where we had a problem with the quality of the accommodation. In contrast, this restaurant was excellent in every respect.

Involuntary and bad food. The place was recommended by a local and you clearly do not want to spend 1 piece there. Only the beer they don't make is acceptable Réservez une table maintenant

Wir waren mit einer grossen Gruppe dort! Der Service war gut und schnell . Es hat einen winzig kleinen See. Die Aussicht super ... das Personal sehr nett..

Des Alps is efficient and probably has the best food in Kandersteg. The pizzas are good quality and thy can accommodate relatively big groups.
