Possibly the worst vegetarian meal I have ever been presented with. At the point of booking, we informed the hotel via email that I was vegetarian as the evening meal was included with the cost of the accommodation. "No problem" was their reply. I reminded them again when we booked in but this was apparently the first time they heard this. "No problem, we will inform the kitchen". Then at dinner, the waiting staff knew nothing about this request & they went to the kitchen to inform them there. I was then offered a fish dish, which is obviously not vegetarian! The first course was some deep fried balls with a stodgy grey filling which I think was mushroom & lentils but I can't be certain & the waiter didn't know what they were either. The main course was boiled couscous with 2 boiled potatoes & some boiled carrots on top with no flavour what so ever! seriously. I thought they were having a laugh at me when they asked if I was enjoying my meal. I had read great reviews of this restaurant but obviously it was not geared up for vegetarians. Is it so difficult to make a dish with no dead animals in it? Do you really lack so much creativity in your kitchen??
