Restaurant du Chateau

nous avons découvert par hasard ce restaurant le château lavardens et avons été surpris par la qualité de la cuisine et le très bon prix. nous avons eu un bon repas pour moins de 100 euros avec un grand cru de St Emilion et un repas complet...: entrée, plat et dessert. nous avons pris le hein qui avait cuisiné un goût incroyable dans différents récipients, le cuisinier nous a dit d'obtenir ce goût, le melon et le jambon en entrée étaient également très savoureux et la crème au chocolat était un bonheur. si vous voulez un bon déjeuner dans un endroit abordable, c'est l'endroit qu'il vous faut.

We were staying at a local B&B. Our hostess made this recommendation. The location is right at the base of the Chateau, simply beautiful and peaceful. The first night we had the 'salad' and foie. The foie was cooked simply and perfectly.Our best foie we have ever had.Her secret is the great ingredients she sources and her cooking techniques. She lets the food speak for itself. The next night was duck confit. Again, simple and very flavourful. If you are looking for a simple French meal with great ingredients this spot is for you. Make sure to call in advance to make sure they are open.

we found this place by chance. eating is wonderful and the ambiente with the personal is amazing! we were very satisfied with the menu, short and simple yet complex dishes that were perfectly cooked and plated. we had the pleasure of sitting in the house and having a look at the kitchen. I have never seen such joy at working, it was really breathtaking. there is a great mood in the kitchen, all there seemed to work happy together! beautiful experience, would highly recommend.

Lavardens was awarded most beautiful village in France. And this restaurant tops it up!Superb surroundings, smiling service and authentic and homemade cuisine.Two menus only with local food, all prepared by the owner and chef Brigitte. Portions are huge and cooked deliciously. Knowing that everything is made on site and that nothing comes out of a tin is a bonus for the price.I strongly recommend it!

Great dinner on the outside terrace under the shadow of the castle dominating the surrounding countryside. Typical local fare ( ie duck!) served by very friendly lady owners at a reasonable price.
