We drove past Yvorne and explored the city twice without stopping for a meal. This year we were ashamed to eat here at noon, only our flight was delayed and we arrived at three in the afternoon. Not in a position to speak French at all, we could explain to the owner that we were desperate for a meal and finally she managed to explain with the help of several plates, meat pieces and some wine glasses that she would make us eat something, although it was over the lunchtime. We ended up with two very large meat plates (we thought it would have asked us how many dishes of food we wanted); and our embarrassment ended them both as the meat and cheese were just delicious.
