Restaurant Edel is a true family run restaurant, established by Adolph Edel in 1895 it is now owned by his grandson Adrien Edel whose son is the chef. We love places like this that have so much tradition and history, like them even better if the food and service are good...tick those boxes. Situated in the most beautiful square in town it is a great place to watch the world go by... and a a great view of the nesting storks....and we did...often. The food is of the region and varied, superb onion tart, tart flambe’, Knuckle of pork...you can snack or have a full blown meal...portions are generous and desserts are to die for. Looking for somewhere for lunch on a busy day in Eguisheim we came on this little restaurant in the square. Perfect! Very friendly and helpful service, a very good pie (tourte), and altogether a lovely experience. A deli next door in case you need to load up on further Alsatian delicacies.

Great coffee and delicious tartes with a beauiful view! I recommend blueberry and peach tartes. Lots of fruit and only a bit of dough. Recommend to give it a try!

Nous avons attendu un moment mais les deux serveuses étaient plus intéressées à discuter qu'à prendre notre commande, alors nous sommes partis.

Vraiment bonne Tarte flambée et personnel gentil. Ils ne parlent que français alors soyez-en conscient. Du bon vin aussi.
