You can transit from the Bernese Oberland (Interlaken, Lakes Spiez Thun, etc) into the Emmental or the Entlebuch via the Schallenberg Pass, a gentle, low alpine mountain road that mainly leads through green pastures and some picturesque villages. At the height of the pass (1167m) is the Restaurant Gabelspitz where you can rest for a drink and/or a bite. We have done this trip many times in different seasons, and so again in mid June, with gloriously sunny and warm weather, driving through lush green meadows and forest groves. Ich kam mit dem Velo auf die Mittagszeit. Der Service war freundlich und kompetent. Alles ging schnell und korrekt. Der Wurst-Käse-Salat auf einem ovalen Teller mit 5 verschiedenen Salaten wunderschön angerichtet. Garnitur mit Liebe und guten Produkten. Selbst die Deko-Früchte waren frisch und schmackhaft. Grosses Lob in die Küche.
Wir waren mit dem Töff unterwegs und sind dort mittags eingekehrt. Gemütliches Gasthaus mit für schweizerische Verhältnisse akzeptablen preiswertem Mittagsmenü CHF 17.00. Freundlicher Service. Essen ist ordentlich. Die 0.3l Apfelschorle mit CHF 3.90 noch ok. Sehr gute Bewertung wegen des Preises.

Wir hatten das Mittagessen in einer grossen Gruppe. Der Service war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Apéro, Salat und unser Essen war hervorragend und hatte eine sensationelle Qualität. Das Preis-Leistungs Verhältnis war perfekt. Es sollte reserviert werden.
