The hotel / restaurant are located practically on the highest hill in this area. One can reach this place easily either from Zug or the Lake of Zurich (Rapperswil). The view is absolutely fantastic. This is one of the few places, from where you can look over almost entire Lake of Zurich (We once stayed one night at the hotel and really enjoyed the fantastic night view). The restaurant is modest but clean, the food is good and the people are friendly and helpful. On a fine weekend this place can be very crowded and you might have difficulty in finding a parking space. I suggest taking your trekking shoes as this place is nice for walking (also for biking).
Durante un viaggio in questa splendida zona ideale per passeggiate e tour in bicicletta ho visitato questo ristorante restandone colpito positivamente. Abbiamo gustato un ottimo piatto del giorno. Rapporto qualità prezzo buono. Il personale molto gentile mette a proprio agio la clientela quasi viziandola. Questo ristorante dispone di un ampio parcheggio, un ampia terrazza e un parco giochi per bambini oltre a ciò potete avere un vasta panoramica del paesaggio che vi circonda. Se passate in zona vale la pena di fermarsi.
Unseren geschäftlichen Advent-Anlass durften wir im Gottschalkenberg feiern. Die Gastgeber waren sehr freundlich und zuvorkommen. Vom Glühwein über Fondue chinoise mit leckeren Saucen bis zum Dessertteller war alles perfekt. Mit Liebe vorbereitet, fantastisch dekoriert und schön umgesetzt.Der Gottschalkenberg ist Sommer und Winter einen Ausflug wert - egal ob man vom Raten her zu Fuss kommt oder mir dem Bike oder Auto direkt vor's Haus fährt.
