...and out of 10 nights we ate here 3! Our gite owner told us about this place as we arrived late afternoon and was just looking to get fed and then explore more the next day! The owner is lovely, and very efficient, and oh my goodness the food is fantastic value and damn tasty!!!The €16 menu is 4 courses inc the local soup - which is delicious (you are not meant to try and eat the entire tureen she brings you!), the Brochette de Boeuf (beef kebab) is delicious (ask for well done if you don't like rare) and the chips are damn yummy!I treated myself to the Cafe Gourmand on one visit and all the desserts were fabulous and tasty.3 course a la carte was most expensive visit @€43 inc one drink each!Would definitely go back again if in the area

We came here as the Bistrot de L'ours wasn't serving food. We sat outside and drank a couple of beers. The restaurant is right on the main road through Arette, but as it's in the middle of nowhere there wasn't any traffic. On the night we were there they weren't serving any food, it was just the three of us and a few locals drinking beer. Not much at all going on really! Beer was good! Flies everywhere which was annoying...especially inside. The restroom is a very interesting shade of avocado !! Pop in and sup a beer and then roll on....

We popped in on a Sunday evening around 7:30pm and the restaurant had just opened. The staff didn't speak English, but we all understood each other and got exactly what we tried to order. We had 4 courses and coffee for €17 a head- everything was so yummy! Soup, starters, main and a pudding followed by coffee. I had steak for the main and it was perfect. Water with the meal as standard and table service was great - so quick between courses. Would highly recommend.

We were taken here by friends who live and work nearby. The restaurant was buzzing with activity and everyone was enjoying good local food of high quality at a very reasonable price. It has a great atmosphere. We went back another day.
