Restaurant Hohe Schule

People I was visiting bought tickets to an opera and buffet dinner at the hohe schule, and it was incredible. They do not do these types of events very often, but definitely keep an eye out because the opera was amazing (free champagne at intermission), it was beautiful. After the show they had a 3 course buffet set up and the food did not taste like buffet style food. I can't even get over how delicious it was! The atmosphere of the old school was really interesting and Herborn itself is a very pretty old town. A lot of very old buildings and tudor architecture, even a castle. If you are staying near Herborn check out this restaurant and you may get lucky and be able to attend one of the events!!

We stayed in a near by hotel, but walked through a cute courtyard of a nearby hotel and noticed the darling restaurant. We made it a point to come back for dinner and everyone enjoyed their meal and the service. Our waitress, Robin, was excellent and spoke perfect english. They had just changed their menu, so didn't have the english copies available. Robin explained everything! I had the walnut gnocchi which was unusual and delicious. For dinner? Weiner Schnitzel, the best I have ever had!

great food in a historical place. Get known to Herborn's medieval history. This little city was founded sometimes about 500A.D. and still preserves a lot of historical buildings in its center.

it is a great location, in the heart of this germanic town, worthwhile the atmosphere, not as much the food
