Restaurant Hotel des Mines

We believe the hotel and restaurant is under new owners but there is no excuse for rubbish food.the place cannot provide a decent meal.we wanted a simple dinner for two,what we got was a plate swimming in oil with supposed chips, soft and soggy. supposed chicken over cooked and oily. sad!o ver the years we have given this hotel a fair crack at supplying good well cooked food.The various owners cannot provide simple well cooked food at a price that is more expensive than a Macdonalds.the place needs a complete makeover from bar staff that do not know what a cold white wine is to waiting staff with bits of metal hanging from there face.do not go there. find another place to eat!

Despite this restaurant having come from decent local review we found this eating experience disappointingWhile the menu does look somewhat impressive and the location has a wonderful Vendee mining history to it cuisine doesn't quite match up to itFood served was of the minimal most basic effort with little or no flair or imagination put into itThe prices eg 13-17 euro per main course would lead any diner to expect so much moreService is friendly and I do hope this establishment improves as the area in particular is quite starved "pardon the pun" of good eating and restaurants and there has to be an opening in this region for good and fine quisine

We decided to try the hotel Des mines since it was under new people. This is the third lot all have been disappointing over the last 10 years. It might be fairly reasonable in price but the standard is not there.

Patron très sympa, le repas excellent et l'addition très convenable vis à vis du repas. Je conseille fortement
