the restaurant hotel Weissenstein has a perfect location with magnificent panoramic views of the medium and alps. this gives them a strong monopole on the mountain clear, as they are only one of two companies on the white stone, the other is the sennhaus, which is located farther down without much sight. the dining and drinks served here are fantastic, but the experience is ruined by the waiters who work in the restaurant, they seem to be completely stressed, as they only have about 3 people who use the entire restaurant (if we went on a Sunday). wait for about 10 minutes after we sit on someone who served us, the young lady who finally came to our table asked us what we would like to order....
Am Muttertag wurden wir als Eltern von den jüngeren zwei Kindern (von 4) zum Brunch auf den Weissenstein eingeladen. Der Brunch war gut aber auch nicht auffällig. Ich habe Jahre selben Muttertags Brunchs organisiert und darum glaube ich mitreden zu können. Unsere Brunchs kosten CHF 10.00 pro Erwachsener und CHF pro Kind. Natürlich ist die Lokation ohne Gebühren und die Mitarbeiter arbeiten gratis für die Mütter, daher sicher nicht vergleichbar. Der Preis ist angemessen. Was mich gestört hat, ist dass das Cüpli Prosecco von 0.10 l nicht inbegriffen war. Nein es schlug mit CHF 8.50 zu. Wenn man bedenkt mit wie wenig eine Flasche Prosecco zu kaufen ist das schäbig. We took our elderly parents to this Restaurant to celebrate their 62nd wedding anniversary and were totally disappointed. The service was non existent, we had to keep asking for service, they forgot orders and delivered food not ordered. When we received the invoice there were...items on it which we had not consumed. Half the staff don't understand a word of german, french or english. The food was a disgrace, my daughter's meal was delivered 20 minutes before ours and it was cold, the Wiener Schnitzel was tough and tasteless and the vegetables were so dried out they curled up on our plates, it has been a very long time since we have had such a bad experience and eaten such bad food. The location is placed near the telepheric and from where you're sitting you have a very nice view of Solothurn City and the Alps. But I think that this is not enough to distract the people from the long waiting of waiters (for example to...pay the bill). The service was not so friendly but at the same time not rude. Food: I ordered Büezer Teller (traditional picatta meat, that was good, with tomato spaghetti, that weren't that tasty) I think the cost is OK: some dishes are expensive. Wir waren heute im Restaurant zum Essen mit 7 Personen. Wir bestellten 2 Suppen und 4 Salate, zuerst kamen die Suppen und nach einiger Zeit die restlichen Vorspeisen. Beim Hauptgang war es zeitlich auch nicht besser. Zum Schluss beim Dessert wusste das (Hilfs?)Bedienpersonal nicht mal die Namen des Desserts das sie brachten. Sowie ein Dessert hatte nicht die bestellten Glacekugeln
Leider wurde die tolle Aussicht mit einem sehr schlechtem Service getrübt. Das Fleisch kam nicht so wie bestellt. Über das kann man mal gut hinwegsehen. Leider wurde aber auch der sonst gängige Zahlvorgang mit Karte mehr nervig angesehen. Allgemein scheint man sich an der Kundenfreundlichkeit etwas schwer zu tun. Schade. Wir glauben, dass die Küche sonst okay wäre.
Wir hatten Kalbssteak mit Pommes und Pouletstreifen mit Rösti und Sommergemüse.Das Gemüse ist gefroren aus der Tüte und das Kalbssteak mit dicken Fettrand und zäh. Der Service war freundlich.Schade!Eigentlich ein toller Ort zum Entspannen. Es ist doch nicht so schwierig gute Produkte in der Schweiz einzukaufen.
really bad service, rude and unprofessional waiter. the receptor told us that they were panic because they served too many people and they ended up serving everything material. in the meantime we waited 30 minutes without service. it is a shame that such a nice one is so bad in view of inadequacies.
