Restaurant La Bournerie

J'ai réservé une table à l'avance et confirmé qu'en tant que végétarien, je pouvais avoir une fondue pour une personne (mon ami voulait autre chose). Le lendemain soir, la même personne m'a regardé dans les yeux et m'a dit "Non", ce n'était pas possible d'avoir une fondue...pour une personne. On m'a proposé quelque chose de similaire qui était « OK pour les végétariens ». Il s'agissait de fromage mais surtout d'un grand plateau de charcuterie qui coûtait 25 €. La première impression à La Bournerie en hiver est les 170 marches à gravir pour arriver à l'hôtel, ce qui lui donne une position élevée, ski aux pieds, au-dessus de l'agitation autour du télésiège Floria. À l'arrivée, la montée était rapidement oubliée grâce à l'accueil chaleureux de Nathalie, qui nous a fait visiter ce charmant hôtel. Tous les travailleurs étaient enthousiastes, et notre réticence initiale due à la salle à manger commune avec les 13 autres invités (3 familles françaises) a disparu lorsque nous sommes devenus de solides amis, malgré quelques barrières linguistiques. good communication, nathalie telephoned to check everything was good and ask if I want a table ready in the restaurant at my arrival. I was too late for heavy snow, but got a warm welcome. the waiters were efficient and very helpful. Whenever I ski in Chinaillon I make a point of visiting La Bournerie. Whether it's just for a mid morning hot chocolate, for lunch or for a full dinner in the evening, on my own or with a party of friends, it's always a pleasure....I know I can rely on a a warm welcome, friendly and attentive service and of course good food. Depending on the weather, I've enjoyed the sun out on the terrace, sheltering from the wind in the conservatory or thawing out in the snug warmth of the log fire in the heart of this traditional wooden chalet. This is what makes a great alpine holiday. Looking forward to my next visit!

I have been coming to Chinaillon now for fifteen years and always make a point of eating here as the food, service and staff are constantly great. I can’t recommend this restaurant enough.
