Not the poshest of restaurants but seemed to be very popular. The majority of the seating is outside but make sure it isn't to breezy as the car park in front is a bit of a dust bowl. Seating was a bit basic, plastic tables and plastic chairs. We were a party of 6 and some of us ordered the house red wine which actually turned up warm in a jug, not come across warm wine before and it seemed the alcohol content was quite low so it remained quite a mystery as to what it actually was. Others who ordered white wine did get it served OK. The meals themselves were average, nothing special, the sea bass were a bit skinny and the steaks were rather fatty. The deserts were fine, can't really get that...
We visited La Cigale twice whilst staying nearby in our holiday villa. We had evening meals on the first visit. The local cheese fritters were real good for starters and I had sea bass, whilst my wife ate king prawns. Everything was cooked very well and my fish was especially tasty. It 's not an upmarket venue by any means and the prices were very reasonable. Everyone running the venue were very friendly and the place was busy with locals. We had takeaway Pizzas the second time we visited which were ready in 15 mins or so. They tasted real good too back at our villa ! Thanks for the friendly times guys ! Hope to see you again soon !
Nous étions en vacances à 2 minutes à pied du restaurant où nous avons mangé deux fois et emporté à deux reprises. Le personnel est très sympathique et le restaurant est fréquenté par de nombreux habitants. Les plats sont raisonnablement prix. Ils proposent une gamme intéressante de pizzas ainsi qu'une variété de plats de poissons et de viandes. La spécialité de la maison, les beignets au fromage frais, sont délicieux et parfaits à partager. Le plat de bar entier avec des légumes méditerranéens était délicieux tout comme les moules frites. Le burger de la maison avec du gorgonzola et des oignons était également un favori.
La Cigale has a dusty ambience. As you take your terrace table you can watch locals playing boules in the earthy car parking area, drinking menthe and grunting about their shots. This restaurant has a cheerful, uncomplicated nature. Pretty good pizzas, excellent green beans, good calamares, slightly disappointing moules, dull veal, hearty helpings and friendly service with lashings of cheap wine. Oh, and chips with everything. We liked it and went twice during our holiday but it will not delight sophisticates.

We ate here twice as this was very local to our villa and we all enjoyed our food and the service. Its nothing fancy, but it isn't expensive by Corsica standards and it appears to be well used by the locals (particularly for the take out pizza). The only downside is the lack of a fixed price menu (at least in the evening, when we visited), but this was still good value overall. The appearance is a bit dusty, but it's actually quite nice inside.
Nous voulions un endroit relaxant pour notre premier dîner en Corse. La nourriture était bonne et fraîche (nous avons pris du veau à la crème et du veau aux olives). Le grand parking est pratique et sa proximité avec la terrasse n'est pas du tout un problème comme je l'ai lu ci-dessous. Nous y retournerions !
Nous étions dans une villa locale et avons mangé à cet endroit 3 fois. Le service était très sympathique et la nourriture était très bonne avec des ingrédients locaux simples. Les pizzas sont excellentes (ils prennent aussi à emporter) et les desserts sont faits maison et également très savoureux
Been twice, once for lunch once for dinner. Very friendly place with pretty good pizzas plus good choice of other food (gambas etc). Just off the roadside so not a great location but prices are reasonable. Okay but nothing more.

Dropped into this restaurant for lunch on our way to Saint Florent. The surroundings are simple, but you can tell from the clientele that it's worth a visit. The food is fresh, tasty and well presented and the service excellent.
Restaurant situé juste à côté de la route principale sur le chemin de Saint Florent. Bon menu, service convivial et bon rapport qualité-prix. Je recommande vivement l'entrée au fromage "frit".
