There were highs and lows... despite the lovely atmosphere, the food was mediocre and the service wasn't very reliable. Some of the ingredients were substandard for this level of restaurant (canned sliced olives etc) and the bread they serve doesn't compliment the dishes on offer (plain, flavourless pita wedges, which would pair better with Greek food than with Italian!). The pizza was not very good. Soggy. The pasta was quite decent, but again, lacking the right bread as accompaniment. I would possibly return but more likely would try somewhere else.
Magia offers an Italian menu of pasta, pizzas, risottos and (2) choices of veal. Service by the young staff is friendly and efficient. Our family enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. Between the 5 of us, we had pizzas, pasta and veal and everyone was satisfied. The Minestrone soup is surprisingly good. There's a decent wine list; we did not try any of the 5 desert offerings. So, for 5 dinners & appetizers, with a bottle of affordable wine, the total comes out to $250, including service and taxes. Plates are plentiful.
Our first choice had a line waiting out the door so we walked down the street to this restaurant. We were seated immediately. The place looked full, many tables with parties of 20 or more. Drinks were fast, appetizer took about 15 minutes and our entrees came out about 20 minutes after that. Staff explained that they were serving two large parties that came in before us. We weren't in any particular hurry and were just relaxing. Pasta was excellent !!
Quel beau restaurant, excellente nourriture, service aux petits oignons. Quand on veut se faire plaisir mon mari et moi nous allons au Magia . En hiver comme en été sur la superbe terrasse nous ne sommes jamais déçus. Rue S-Charles dans notre cher quartier le Vieux Longueuil

Stopped in with my son for a late dinner. Food was very good and the staff very nice.Service could have been a bit quicker but it was getting late and they seemed to be running thin. Had I been in a hurry it might have bothered me, but I wasn't so it was a great experience.
We had our Christmas party at Magia, and quite frankly, the meal was deeeelicious. I had the osso buco and risotto and started with a wonderful tomato and buffalo mozzarella salad.Yum yum. Kudos to Marc-Antoine the chef and Chloe for keeping the Sangiovese flowing.
Merveilleuse soirée passée à ce restaurant. Service exceptionnel de Jean-Marc et Manue . Nous étions un groupe d’une trentaine de personnes et nous avons que des bons commentaires! Bouffe excellente , très bel endroit, bien organisé ! Je recommande
Très bon service à la banquette!! J'ai adoré les pâtes aux fruits de mers c'était succulent. Le serveur tres gentil et courtois !!! J'ai passé un super beau samedi soir entre amis !! Merci Magia!

Large selection of custom personal pizzas. Over 10 pasta choices. 3 risotto choices. Tons of specialty apps and excellent veal and salmon. Will be back next time in town.
