Il ristorante si trova dietro l'hotel dove abbiamo soggiornato (Ibis) ed essendo molto tardi, quasi le 22, siamo stati "costretti" ad andarci a cenare... era ovvio che non ci aspettassimo di trovare una vera pizza italiana ma a quell'ora e in quella zona non c'era nessun'altro ristorante aperto. Diciamo che all'estero mi è capitato di mangiare pizze peggiori di questa, è mangiabile ma non la consiglio, soprattutto agli italiani.. però abbiamo apprezzato il fatto che ci abbiano fatto mangiare qualcosa quando ormai il locale stava per chiudere. Per tre pizze e tre bibite abbiamo speso circa 65€, caro ma nella media svizzera.
We visited pizzaeria la piazza which was next door to our hotel. Its easy to access by public transport with the glattbrugg unterriet tram stop outside. There were two of us and we decided to share a pizza, so ordered one, but never mentioned we were going to share. It was probably obvious we were going to but when our pizza was served it had been cut in half for us and served on 2 plates which we were very impressed with as we had never mentioned anything. It was extremely tasty and got to us within about 10 minutes of waiting. Staff we friendly and helpful and the service was great.
Given that is the only restaurant in the immediate vicinity of the Ibis Budget Airport Hotel, I visited this restaurant on two occasions for lunch/dinner. The first night I had Pizza Siciliana which was around 20 CHF and was decent in size. The taste was not anything over the moon, but it satisfied my appetite. Would not say that this price is appropriate for the size and the taste of the pizza. However, the second night we ordered cannelloni and lasagna. It was freshly made, with lots of sauce and it was delicious. I would definitely recommend trying their pasta instead of pizza.
I love this place. So close to the airport, many hotels close, right accros Ibis hotel. Prices are excellent, actually I would pay for this food even if the prices were double of what they are. Let alone of the taste, texture and quality of the food!!! You have to try to believe it. You would think this type of food you can only expect if three star Michelin restaurants. Say hello to the CHEF for me and see you next time. If there would be 10 stars, that what id would rate you. THANK YOU!
