Nous avons eu une matinée décevante en essayant de trouver une place pour se garer du côté suisse du lac et en passant par Saint-Gingolph, le premier arrêt du côté français. C'était déjà tard pour le déjeuner. La ville est petite avec seulement un...restaurant féminin. Nous avons marché dans la rue principale et décidé d'aller dans le chinois. Mais ils étaient complets et même s'il y avait une table, on nous a dit qu'il fallait attendre au moins une demi-heure pour notre repas. Nous avons traversé la rue pour aller dans ce restaurant thaïlandais. Nous avons été chaleureusement accueillis, même s'il était tard pour déjeuner, bien que l'enseigne indiquait jusqu'à 15h, le restaurant était assez rempli et quelques personnes arrivées après nous se sont plaintes que c'était trop tard. Notre repas a été servi immédiatement et les trois plats étaient absolument délicieux. Le personnel était amical et courtois, les toilettes étaient propres et situées au même niveau que les tables du restaurant et la vue sur le lac était magnifique. Nous n'avons pas été pressés et nous nous sentions rafraîchis et bien après le repas. Nous avons remarqué que c'était un endroit régulier, donc c'est très populaire. Ça vaut le détour.
We had had a disappointing morning trying to find a place to park on the Swiss side of the lake and came across Saint Gingolph, the first stop on the French side. It was now late for lunch. the town is small with just a few restaurants. We wandered up and down the main street and decided we might go into the Chinese one. However, they were full and although there was a table, we were told we would have to wait at least half an hour for our meal. We crossed the road to this Thai one. We were greeted warmly even though it was late for lunch although their sign said until 3.p.m. It was quite full and two lots of people arriving after us were told it was too late.Our meal was served promptly and all three courses were absolutely delicious.The staff were friendly and accommodating, the toilet clean and positioned on the same floor as the restaurant tables and the view of the lake was magnificent. We weren't rushed and felt very refreshed and a sense of well-being after we finished. We noticed that there were regulars so it is a popular place. Well worth a visit.
a charming, family-run Thai restaurant with an attractive view over the lake. meal times are served at lunch and in the evening and there is also a take-off service. many choices at a very reasonable price, fresh quality, well presented, cooked by an excellent cook and served with speed and charm. will soon be back for another nice evening.
