a homely graceful rustic restaurant in a very old factory house in the main street/passenger zone of Walldorf/Baden.The tables are finely covered and the menu is supplemented by current day offers.A very nice and attentive service accompanied by the evening. No problem four people at the same time from the kitchen with various furnishings. there works a dedicated team with more tangible joy at work.The quality is correct and the presentation of the foods on the beautiful cherry delights. For example, top das rumpsteak with overbaked herbal crust.The wine card is well ordered from regional to international even higher reputation. here, however, uncompromisingly calculated, e.g. a tignanello (2012 is only a mediocre vintage) for 145 € at a ek of about 50 € . that is a bit saddened and probably not accepted by the gast.
we live around the corner. I had never had a bad eating, friendly service, the local love it! go where the locals go, now is SPARGEL season (white spa). it is from our farmers on site. I enjoyed it, served with freshly prepared sauce hollandaise, salt potatoes (yes, from the region) and homemade pancakes, oh so good! for dessert I unfortunately had no place, but then there is always the next time! when they come here for business, sap, heidelberg cement or another company, they cannot go without being there.
a very nice building, the second oldest house in walldorf. we were warmly welcomed. I decided to recommend the day, calf bags with a wonderful pfifferlings sauce. my wife had the rumsteak with pepper sauce. To this we enjoyed a fine Spanish wine (baron de ley). the foods were of an excellent quality, there is cooked with passion.
