Restaurant Le Cerf

Ok so this restaurant is not for everyday the menus are plus unless you have the daily special which is prepared principaly for hotel clients good but meagre portions. Ok for my wife but I have left still feeling I could have...eaten more. But the service and attention to detail is second to none. The Cerf room is intimate and very nicely decorated and the whole establishment oozes class. I see they have a midday buffet now which is very reasonable have't tried that but will do if it is on offer in the future. Beware the drinks prices however! for a glass of wine... I guess you arre paying for the environment as well...

This is supposed to be a top notch restaurant, and in to a certain extent it is. However, the last couple of years they seem to put less effort in coaching their staff in a fashion you would expect from a restaurant on a hotel. My latest experience was this year and unfortunately not a pleasant one. The food was in general average, while the fish-dishes was really poor. Remembering back to last time I was there, we also had to return the fish dish. I will probably not spend my money here for food in the future, and if you decide to go there, stay away from seafood Chatel is far from the sea....

Chatel is traditionally re known for its Savoyard dishes of Cheese and Meat, but the Macchi offers so much more than this and for quality and effort it is a reasonable price. Those hosting, particularly Iount (hope spelt correctly), are very warm and friendly and...extremely polite and professional. The menu was varied and food we ordered extremely tasty, and accompanied by an excellent selection of wines. This will not suit every budget and for example a few things may seem heavy on price, but well worth a visit for a special occasion or change from local culinary delights. Thank you

Hotel Macchi is a star hotel. Having aperitive in the lounge is very pricey but very cosy. Then the buffet for lunch with deer civet for the adults and savoyard burger for the children, after great choice of starters with meat, cheese and even...seafood.

the personal is still as a competence team. make sure they are received well. we will be coming back
