Restaurant Le Farfadet

We had about an hour to kill before meeting friends at the Chateau de Creully (just next to the restaurant), so we stopped in for lunch. I ordered what I thought would be a modest seafood salad ... and was presented with an enormous bowl of green, tomatoes, hard-boiled eggs, cucumbers, olives and all manner of seafood: salmon, scallops, shrimp ... plus a large basket of bread -- it was incredible! There was easily enough there for two or even three people. I ordered a glass of Provencal rose along with the salad, and it was just perfect -- light, crisp and dry. Decided to try this little restaurant but wish we tried another in the town. Arrived at opening time so expected a full menu, however, we weren't that hungry so decided on a snack. I asked for a croque monsieur and was told not available therefore had to choose something more expensive (not good). Decided on a Pizza Royale and my partner decided on Jambon with salad and chips.The Jambon (ham) wasn't bad but the chips seemed to have been reheated and the salad (lettuce) was black at the edges (not good), a slither of tomato and some dressing.The Pizza Royale was different; it consisted of a pizza base, tomato and cheese topped with cold raw mushroom slices and cold salami slices.All in all, n...

This was, without a doubt, the worst pizza i have ever eaten in my life. The pizza base was like crisp bread or flavourless cardboard, completely lacking in taste or any moisture. The sauce tasted like cheap chemically tomato paste and the cheese had no taste whatsoever. The pizzas are served like they all start their lives as a mozzarella pizza. With additional toppings just added on top depending on what you ordered. I did not think it was possible to get pizza so so wrong. If you are thinking of going here do not bother. Complete waste of money. You would get a far better pizza out of the freezer isle at your local supermarket. Definitely not worth the 30 euros my partner and I spent here...

There exist very limited options for a meal under 2 hours and less than a 4-course dinner, making this is a great alternative. It's not fine dining, and it's not high-end. But it is a varied menu that was fine, in a cute restaurant, with a lovely owner. The salads were fresh, everyone said their food was fine, and the ice cream desserts were terrific. It's not the same experience as a gourmand meal, but it was a good value. Truthfully we enjoyed this food more than our meal at Hostellerie Saint Martin. Réservez une table maintenant

Nous avons visité ce restaurant de pizza en juin. Le service était bon et amical. Les pizzas étaient excellentes, j'ai pris la Margherita et mon mari a choisi la spéciale viande de la maison. La mienne était tellement grande que je n'ai pas pu la finir. Elle était bien recouverte de fromage et très savoureuse... De la même manière, mon mari était plus que satisfait de la sienne. Je recommanderais certainement si vous êtes à Creully.

Après une longue journée à explorer les plages, nous étions ravis de nous asseoir pour une pinte et une pizza en terrasse. (La salle intérieure semblait un peu trop chaude ce jour-là. Le service était bon et les plats sont arrivés assez rapidement. La pizza était généreuse et copieuse. Je reviendrais avec plaisir si je suis de nouveau dans la région.

We at here at the start and end of our short stay in Creully. Food and service was great. We had three kids with us and they opted for simple pizzas whereas we tried a few different things in the menu. Beef was great, salads nice and the galette with ratatouille tasty and filling.

Nous étions (3) à la recherche d'une bouchée rapide. Comme une pizza ou un sandwich, quelque chose de facile et rapide à préparer. Il était 13h35, dommage, non. On ne voulait pas vous déranger...allez-vous-en. WOW !!! C'est du service client à l'extrême. Réservez une table maintenant

We ate here twice and were very happy both times. Great service with nice patio or indoor seating Located in a quiet square beside the historic church. Pizza and galette were great. Would definitely go to again.

We just watched two waitresses manage a house full of enthusiastic Brits, two tables of French and we two Aussies with grace, aplomb and humour. Outstanding, ladies. Outstanding. Simple food, well done.
