Stumbled across this local eaterie in pouring rain en route home to UK, and thoroughly appreciated our luck. Offered a choice between restaurant and service vite, we went for the speedy side and were shown the fixed price menu complets - no choices, no English spoken. Started with slices of spicy sausage and crusty French bread. followed by the most delicious, freshly cooked liver and mash; finished off with a warm pastry. Together with a glass of local beer (deeply flavourful Catittel Watou) and a coffee the total was 28 Euros. No wonder that shortly after we arrived the place was packed, everyone else being workers in overalls, or from local shops and offices. They know a good thing when it's in the midst of their town, and from the banter and greetings that abounded many must be regulars.A final Gallic touch was the discovery that there are two toilets: 'Western style' off the main restaurant, and traditional French stand or squat for the service vite. Both spotless, both reflecting the no-frills value offering of Le Goujon.
