Mystic was very disappointing - while the menu appeared varied, there were out of lots of items and therefore the menu was limited. When our dinners arrived, the food was poor and served on cold plates. The veg was overlooked, tasteless and cold. Our steaks were chewey and greasy. The chips were the best part of the meal - and chips would not normally be something I would bother with, or comment on. The waiter displayed an indifferent attitude. He had his coat on and was out the door 30 seconds after he cleared our plates and threw the bill on the table. This restaurant came highly recommended by a regular visitor to Megeve and did not disappoint us. The restaurant is situated on a bustling street which is great for some late night shopping and has a great atmosphere in general. The restaurant itself has a great winelist, We tried everything from a delicious fondue to the days special which was a beef steak served with a creamy mushroom sauce. All the main meals were delicious however the beef steak special, whilst having a great flavour, was quite fatty and sinewy. The desserts however were where they excelled. Nous avons déjeuné sur la terrasse et la vue sur le Mont Blanc était magnifique, mais tout le reste était assez indifférent. Je ne pense pas qu'ils se soucient vraiment du service ici. Nous avons pris le steak qui était assez strict et moyen. Nous avons commandé une bouteille de vin pour accompagner notre plat principal, qui n'est arrivée que lorsque deux d'entre nous avaient terminé. La réponse de la serveuse, quand nous avons protesté, n'était pas inquiétante comme si c'était de notre faute. Vous ne pouvez clairement pas être dérangé, donc je recommande de ne pas vous déranger d'y aller.
I feel sorry for these two waiters running around trying to handle a 50 seats restaurant. They are very nice and friendly but unable to manage this. The result is intolerable wait. It took two hours to be served a salad and a dessert. The salad was okay but the chèvre chaud wasn't grilled enough. The home made nougat glace was very delicious but the cafe gourmand was mediocre. To add insult to injury the ventilation isn't sufficient to handle the cooking ustensiles in the space (braserade and raclette) and the prevailing smoke in the air was very unpleasant. Essayez d'obtenir une table à l'arrière, car l'avant donne l'impression d'être une devanture de magasin et vous êtes exposé. Le menu est assez standard, à part les brassades absolument délirantes qui sont une boîte avec des braises super chaudes sur lesquelles vous grillez votre viande. C'est... très amusant, mais les sauces pourraient être meilleures. Si vous préférez les raclettes et fondues classiques, celles-ci sont également disponibles. Le personnel est joyeux.
We just sung here in us on a September night! Not welcome, find your own seat. Girls behind the bar more interested in seeing themselves in the mirror behind the bar!! After all, she brought the menu. The food came quite fast, badly presented, small quantities... not very well cooked, not cheap. We ate and made a quick exit. Wouldn't recommend coming here. Much better in the area that at least try to serve you.
