Restaurant le White

Following several visits last April and much bonhomie with the owner we were staggered to find that Stefano and his accomplices could not even remember us. Worse still, in booking a midweek table forel eleven they found it all too difficult and forced us to accept a single menu choice which nobody at the table actually wanted. Raclette. I woke up the following day feeling poorer for the experience. Toouch cjeese snd notjing else. They were unremitting in their 'inability' to serve a proper a la carte menu and were unfriendly, inconsiderate and in my humble opinion arrogant about their not so nice restaurant. They ate deluded. I will NEVER go back. Ever.I gave Le White a very high Trip Advisor score last year and people will have been persuaded to go to the restaurant to see if I was correct. I now feel that I overestimated their genuineness and I cannot recommend this restaurant at all. It was an utter disgrace.They will surely cease trading within a year if they continue to adopt an attitude which is all about them and their useless not very overworked chef and not at all about the customers.

The restaurant was very welcoming and the staff were friendly and kind.We loved the food and the atmosphere and our two small children were also made to feel welcome. The Wine list is well constructed although the "Branjelina"-owned wines from Fayence are by no means the best choices at the price, Burgundies and Bordeaux were more straightforward and better. Will definitely come again,. Defintely the best restaurant in the vicinity. Wonderful treat on a brief ski hols at the Easter break and well worth coming down from the mountain for a late lunch just as it is a great spot for dinner.

We arrived without a booking, but only had to wait a short time with drinks till a table became available. It was a very busy night ona week-end but the maitre d' was very professional and friendly and ensured we had good service all night long. The restaurant was packed and busy but the meals arrived in a timely manner and were all excellent quality, especially the steaks. We had an excelent mealand evening, and the large crowd only made the experience more enjoyable

Very nice restaurant serving ENORMOUS courses, if you order fondue or raclette be sure you do not ask for a hoes d'oeuvre unless you are VERY hungry! At week end you need to reserve a table otherwise you will never get one! A little expensive but worth it.

Last minute booking. Excellent friendly service although sometimes not enough time between courses.. catered ok for one veggie (gnocchi) the turkey for my partner was bit dry but a good and tasty sauce.
