RESTAURANT LES LOULOUS

C'est un petit restaurant près de l'église d'Armentière proposant une cuisine française absolument délicieuse. Nous choisissons ce restaurant pour déjeuner en route vers le Louvre, Lens après avoir voyagé depuis Eurotunnel Calais. Vous devez réserver et vous attendre à passer environ 90 à 120 minutes ici. Le déjeuner en France est toujours plus long et plus civilisé ! Nous avons pris le menu à 16 euros et avons commandé le veau avec une salsa de tomates, du boudin noir et une purée de pommes et du canard à l'orange. Tous étaient accompagnés de légumes frais locaux et parfaitement cuits et présentés. . Pour le dessert, nous avons tous choisi le plateau de fromages locaux et le pain rustique. Nous aurions pu choisir une crème brûlée à la chicorée ou d'autres desserts. Il y a un très grand choix à bord et des plats de poisson et végétariens étaient disponibles pour le déjeuner et le dîner. Les boissons n'étaient pas chères et une gamme de bières est disponible. Notre fête avait trois monts, une bière locale et nous l'avons vraiment apprécié. Yesterday, December 4, some friends and I had a day out on France. We reserved places at Loulou's on the strength of the Trip Advisor reviews and it proved a wonderful choice. The restaurant/pub fully lived up to its glowing reputation.We took the set lunch menu at 16 euros for two courses - great value because the choice was very wide and two courses was plenty.We all tried diiferent things. I chose the black pudding plate - superb - and everyone of us enjoyed their choices immensely.The patron - and some of the customers - were really great in helping us interpret the menu... though it was amusing to hear them call roe deer 'Bambi meat' - LOL.The resturant is easy to find, parking is easy, and the view of the main buildings in the centre of the town splendid.We'll back at Loulou's again in the Spring!

Nice devil logo attracted us to this restaurant, but the theme does not continue inside, which is plain modern interior, no thought given to the few modern art daubs hung on the wall. Food was fine but basic, fish and salad, meat and salad etc. Beer list was dull, the problem being a full range from the tedious St Omer brewery. If there was just a single good beer, such as Anosteké, might have stayed longer and spent more.

c'est un restaurant discret et familial. ils vous proposent un bon repas à un prix raisonnable. le patron est sympa et plein de plaisanteries. de nombreux locaux viennent manger pendant leur pause déjeuner.

Served us late at very short notice and the food was well presented and very tasty. The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere and is worth a visit.
