L'escale - Réserver une table

Restaurant L’Escale , May 16, 2017 @ 6:30 PMWe had Dinner here since it was recommended by our Travel Agent and it was a wonderful experience. The Service was exceptional and the Corse Food- dishes tasted delicious. We arrived early, so we were able to get a table by the window looking out to the Mediterranean Sea ( see picture ) . All the staff we had contact with were very pleasant. The Restaurant gets very busy from 7:15 PM on , therefore it must have a good reputation. We started out with .” Charcuterie from Corsica “ …followed by “Veal Ragout" with pasta....and the daily Catch for my wife , for desert we selected “ Chestnut Cake “ with a dash of whipped cream & Coffee. The waiter offered as a desert wine with the compliments of the house. What a nice gesture . I have attached several pictures of our dining experience at L’Escale Restaurant. We highly can recommend this wonderful restaurant located in downtown L’ILE Rousse, since we were very well taken take of by a professional staff

From Calvi where we stayed we took the little train to Île Rousse where we found l'Escale". It was a beautiful day and the restaurant was almost full. Upstairs and downstairs. So much atmosphere. We were upstairs with a sea view. Our aperitif arrived and it was stunning. A tall stemmed, large, blue balloon glass. It had fresh strawberry purée and the lovely sparkling wine of Corsica. I had veal with mushrooms and as chestnuts are a staple here, I think there was some in the sauce. The serving size was large. Bread baskets are full and always refilled. I could not eat another thing. It was €19.50. Bargain compared to home. Great staff.

Good average food excellent staff great position food nothing out of the ordinary some good dishes quite expensive for what you getThere are better restaurants in town all stall very helpful and obviously love working there

We found this restaurant the first day when we arrived to l'Ile-Rousse and visited 4-5 times. We tried lots of dishes from fish and meat and enjoyed them. The service is very friendly. Thank you!

As the Sun lows into the sea, a seat at this restaurant will make your eating experience that little bit special. Sometimes the hidden gems need to be searched for as is their nature. 5 stars.
