If you should find yourself in Lannemezan you could do no better than lunch at Chez Maurette - if you can get a table !! For around Forty UK pounds for two, you,ll dine very well. My personal recommendations would be Salade de gesiers and Noix de boeuf. But you,ll have four courses to choose from so take your time ! The place is run strictly by family. Avoid Wednesday's which is market day and thus always difficult.

Whilst many old fashioned basic true French restaurants are closing in our area of the Hautes Pyrenees, this one provides a welcoming ambience , excellent service and good reasonably priced menus for fixed price lunches and evening meals. A pleasure to experience the old fashioned style of home cooking, and the advantage of a family restaurant.

A nice place to go, authentic , good, no fuss. Seasonal vegetables from the garden, homemade dessert. Truly the best restaurant in the area! Not open every day. Small restaurant .
