We discovered this little restaurant by accident. A terrible storm meant we had seen nothing but rain for three days. Our usual place to eat was jam packed, so we took our chances. What a great find! The seafood starter was great - langoustine, brown shrimps, a couple of oysters, bulots and my main course was cod in a delicious sauce with lentils and bacon and a celeriac purée. The boys (aged 7 and 10) enjoyed proper chicken nuggets (beautifully freshly made) and a rare steak (perfectly cooked). The cafe gourmand desert was a real treat - six mini desserts and an espresso. The staff were so nice, trying to speak English when our French went awry! The children's main course was served with our starter, so the whole meal flowed beautifully. There are interesting photos of old Granville on the wall and it's a bit dark like an old English pub inside. We were deilghted to come across this restaurant - we have visited Granville for many years and this place is now on our places to eat.

No special food. The servers did n't care at all. The desert had to be ordered at the very start. We asked 3 times why it could not be later. Because of the preparation time!! We remembered different waiters that we were waiting for the pre-ordered desert. After 4 rappels we could already fill in the answer: j'arrive ! But still after one hour and 4 rappels there was still no desert, so we left without a desert. Don't go there. The servers don't care a damn!

It's situated at the commercial port which means you can sea the harbour which may well look muddy and dull.....but the fish is lovely. We ate upstairs where one waitress coped admirably with an entire room of happy diners. Mainly fish on the menu but slightly more choice of meat than some places - my wife aprticualrly praised the turky in Normandy sauce. I just praised everything including the good value wine in caraffe.

A nice and modern place at Granville harbour. Classic local sea food, fish and others. But the chef make sur his best to revisit and revive these classics in a pretty modern way; i.e., different from Grand-Mother, however very good and tasty. Friendly welcome and good advises re food selection and wine.
