The poor rating is not reflective of the food, but of the manager and his attitude when we showed up for our reservation one night and was told they didn't have any record of our reservation and there was nothing he could do. Our reservation was confirmed via email and when we showed this to the manager he said it was simply not possible and didn't offer to help in any way. We were a large group and were very disappointed with the way they handled this mishap on their part. One star for rudeness and unprofessional conduct. Nous n'avons malheureusement pas réalisé que pendant les vacances de la mi-mandat, nous devrions réserver à l'avance pour aller dîner pour l'anniversaire de notre fils. Heureusement, j'ai trouvé cet endroit la veille de son anniversaire et c'était parfait car je n'ai jamais connu un enfant qui mange autant de fromage que le mien! Nous avons eu de la chance d'avoir réservé même juste un jour à l'avance car d'autres se voyaient refuser l'entrée à notre arrivée. Nous avons une personne intolérante au gluten dans notre famille et avons eu de la chance qu'il y ait une option pour elle. Nous reviendrons si nous avons à nouveau la possibilité de voyager!
My colleague made a dinner reservation for 9 which was confirmed by email. When we arrived it appeared the email reservation had not been properly recorded. We weren't offered a single word of apology despite showing the reservation. We were simply told the restaurant was full so please "go away, we are full"! The staff reluctantly accepted a phone number in case there was a cancellation (done in desperation as we a hungry group of 9!). However, it was taken with the message "don't call us, we'll call you". Truly awful customer service.
Nous avons visité Mazzanine en groupe de 8 personnes et avons reçu un superbe dîner où nous avons tous partagé différentes variétés de fondue. La nourriture était excellente et l'atmosphère était vraiment authentique avec un personnel sympathique qui nous a très bien accueillis. Assurez-vous de faire une réservation car il s’agit d’un endroit populaire (bien mérité).

Nous avons réservé une table en fonction des avis. Accueil charmant. Réservation confirmée par SMS. Cependant, le choix du menu est extrêmement limité. Cependant, lorsque nos plats sont arrivés, la nourriture était délicieuse et les enfants ont apprécié leurs steaks. Nous avons apprécié mais nous ne reviendrions pas. Le personnel d'accueil était fabuleux.
Excellent restaurant au centre de Samoëns. Ambiance chaleureuse, tout le personnel était très amical et attentif. Christophe, le propriétaire, nous a très bien accueillis. Bien que le menu ne soit pas étendu, il y a une gamme variée de plats traditionnels savoyards très savoureux. Bonne sélection de vins locaux...Excellent rapport qualité-prix.
Well presented restaurant with good design and spaces for dining. The steaks are particularly good. A slightly more extravagant evening but great for group meets and romantic dining. Tucked away In the heart of Samoens, it is definitely worth a visit.
Réservé la veille, pour un dîner tôt. Accueil chaleureux et bonne cuisine locale. Cuisine savoyarde, simple, savoureuse et bon rapport qualité-prix. Attitude détendue face à la panne du terminal de carte de crédit! Super digestif local savoureux!

Mezzanine is the premier steak restaurant in town. Wild boar, if listed is also excellent. One or two decent Bordeaux feature on the modest wine list.
Excellent food, beautiful plating. Outside seating is nice on a cool summer evening (not in the middle of the loud main street).
