Notre fille de 4 ans n'a jamais assez d'appétit pour un "menu enfant" complet, alors même si le menu enfant est bien meilleur ici que dans la plupart des endroits, nous avons décidé de commander nous-mêmes et de partager notre nourriture avec le petit. Le personnel était d'accord avec cela. Le menu à prix fixe avait l'air très bon, nous avons donc commandé là-bas, en désignant clairement les articles, juste pour nous assurer que mon français hésitant était clair. We have just been on a weeks trip to the Languedoc with myself the other half and two boys aged 11 and 13. I am leaving a number of reviews of where we ate and stayed and hope you find them useful.Valras Plage has a weekly market which we visited. It is rather large, very busy and mostly rubbish with just a few authentic food stalls. I would give this a miss unless you like looking at tat and having your feet stamped on.The beach itself at Valras is probably the best in the region. Nice long clean beach, not too busy with facilities for the kids (eg swings, zip lines) and a bar for the adults.We spent the early morning in the market and a couple of hours on th beach and then ready for lunch....
We came here for my father-in-law's birthday. We wanted to treat him to a seafood platter. The restaurant was very flexible and adjusted the platter to his needs. They also brought him a free clam starter as an amuse-bouche the size of a proper starter! Service was impeccable. My wife and I had the main menu and mother in-law had menu of the day. The Menu du jour was good value though the starter was very small. All the main courses were missing a decent sauce so were a bit too dry. We live in Valras all year round and adore this beautiful restaurant/hotel on the seafront. Charming, unobtrusive service, plus an elegant yet relaxed dining room & terrace awaits you. The food is excellent with a menu that covers all tastes. There is also an extremely good value formula available both at lunch & dinner. Children are extremely well catered for and warmly welcomed.....Need I say any more? We ate both lunch & dinner there today it was so good.....Just Wonderful......Many thanks,Gillian Lagré

My wife and I love to visit this restaurant for a seafood lunch in the sunshine and if it does disappoint it's usually the weather not the food! Assiette de Fruits de Mer or something more sophisticated, how about Calves Sweetbreads and Girolle mushrooms? Everything is freshly prepared, nicely served and invariably delicious. For eating, drinking and people watching the Miramar takes some beating.
We did not have great expectations about this resort but this restaurant was amazing. The food is creatively done with fresh ingredients and very very tasty! The service is friendly. The wine list is quite bad and should be improved! Enjoy!
