The Hotel-Restaurant is at the far end of the village, next to a hamburger and sausage stand, which has a railway car appearance. When you have found the restaurant, parking can be in front of the hotel or the hamburger stand, or behind the hotel. Restaurant Muehlengrund serves food in the best German tradition, the "Gute Buergerliche Kueche" (Well cooked German traditional food) with a twist, the twist is the creativity the chef has put into the menu, rendering delicious meat and fish dishes. We were served initially by, I assume, the "mother of the house", who was a bit aloof, but the actual serving was taken over by a young woman, who was not only very skillful en efficient, but made you feel at home without being overly chatty. One of the best waitresses I have ever encountered. We were so enthusiastic about this restaurant, that we visited again for dinner two days later. (We were staying in a holiday home in Winterberg-Zueschen for the long Pentecost weekend) Actually, the owner of the house had recommended Muehlengrund. How right he was!
