Gaststätte Old Church

The restaurant of the Landhotel Klingerhof two miles away, our base, was closed and the receptionist recommended the Old Church in nearby Haibach, a pretty village in the valley below. It was almost full, and that at 7pm on a Sunday evening - a good sign! The place looked quite authentic, an impression re-inforced by the realisation that many locals were eating there. A friendly young waitress brought us a quite extensive menu in German only and we opted for a carafe of what we were told was a dry white housewine at a moderate price whilst we perused it. Our car broke down and we 'had' to stay overnight in Haibach. Not much to do there, so we went out for a meal and ended up in 'Old Church'. It is a very cosy restaurant. We were there on Saturday and loads of families were there having a great time and eating nice food. The lady serving us was absolutely adorable. A couple next to us offered us a 'taste' so we would know what to order?!!! So adorable. They had great beers and good food and not expensive at all...actually..it was quite cheap! We have to go back there to pick up our car..hopefully they are open for lunch...have to check!

Wir waren aufgrund eines Krankenhausbesuches in Aschaffenburg und auf der Suche nach einem Restaurant und sind zufällig auf das Old Church gestoßen. Nette Bedienung, super zuvorkommend, perfekter Service... Sowas ist wirklich nur noch selten. Gute Deutsche Küche, große Portionen, sehr lecker... Und das zu wirklich mehr als akzeptablen Preisen. Wir leben in Niedersachsen, ansonsten würden wir öfters kommen! Nur zu empfehlen!!!!!

Das Essen war wirklich gut ist allerdings gut bürgerlich. Wer lieber kein Fleisch isst findet eher wenige Gerichte. Ich bin allerdings davon überzeugt, dass das super freundliche und zuvorkommende Personal, offen für alle Speisevariationen ist. Sehr netter Abend. Réservez une table maintenant

Nette Kneipe mit leckerem Essen.Wöchentliche Highlights auf der Tafel vor der Tür. Auch gut um einfach nur mal ein Bierchen zu trinken

Alle Speisen sehr gut und würzig! Großen Hunger mitnehmen, denn die Gerichte sind sehr groß und dazu noch günstig!
