Restaurant On The Knoll

While the restaurant is convenient because of its location to the accommodations, it does lack somewhat in being able to serve a HOT meal. Every meal that I had there was cold. Very disappointing in that way. Most of the servers were very good but I did have one for supper who would be better of cleaning rooms as her attitude and service were really bad. When she remembered to come back to our table, well after we were finished, and realized that she had forgotten something that went with the meal, she said "oh well, you don't need the extra calories anyway". That was rude in my opinion. No apology from her for forgetting. No adjustment to the bill. Poor, poor service.

Breakfast buffet is really good and price is good. I wish they had fruit though as they only had canned pears and peaches! COFFEE IS THE WORST IN THE WORLD!! I am not kidding. Get some murky hot water and it will taste better. SERVICE is the best. All the guys that work there are really nice and make you feel at home. First night had dinner there to watch the sunset. Ordered local cider and it was a mistake. Food is expensive and not good quality but I guess you pay for the view not the food. Fish and chips were ok and burgers were tasty. Anything else was too expensive and not a good price-quality.

We have been to this restaurant quite a few times over the many years we have been cottage owners in the County. Each time we go it seems increasingly worn out and the food has been more disappointing each time. Nothing tastes fresh or housemade. This time we had salads, wings and fries. Wings tasted like they came from a box and the fries were frozen. The salad was the bagged iceberg type with hard packaged croutons. Service was very slow as well. This location is a jewel, it's too bad the resort isn't better maintained. We won't return.

We were in Picton for 5 days and had 2 lunches here with 2 different sets of friends. The food was good pub food- we had wraps and burgers. Good service and very good portions!! Great view of the West Lake and the dunes of the Sandbanks. There is a patio but we chose not to sit out both times. We sat in the bar area and it had a good pub atmosphere. There is also a restaurant if you prefer. Réservez une table maintenant

Excellent service. Breakfast buffet is really good for 12.95 and u get 20% discount if u r staying at the Isaih Tubbs. The coffee is HORRIBLE and not worth 2.50!!! Fish and ship was a tasty plate and so were the other plates we ordered. It is very expensive though and price does not match quality and quantity. Nice place to watch the sunset.

Nous sommes allé souper en famille et le repas était très ordinaire. Pizza enfant vraiment trop cuite voir brûlé. Ma portion de poisson était ridiculement trop petite et l'ensemble du repas très très ordinaire.

This was our first visit to this restaurant. The server was friendly, but the service was quite slow. However, we weren't in a rush, so it wasn't a major issue for us.

I am surprised by the negative reviews of this restaurant because I really enjoyed it. I arrived around 10 in the evening, so it was too dark to see any view. Réservez une table maintenant

We love this restaurant and eat at it every time we are in the county. This time the food for me was just okay and the service was on the slow side.

The only redeeming feature of this restaurant is the beautiful view of the lake.
