It 's really a Ratsschänke as the city counsellors would eat here, or at least did until very recently a beautiful, small house right next to the important ancient (and still used) Gothic/Renaissance city hall. The inside is cozy and nice, the seating on the Marktplatz is in a prime location, sheltered yet you see everyone. The food is classic, solid German food, not (much) prefab/convenience at all, which is rare by now, and a perfect place where to take visitors from abroad but, again, locals eat here by themselves as well. In jeder Organisation, in jedem Betrieb, in jeder Küche kann und darf mal etwas "klemmen", das ist menschlich! :-) Wenn dann jedoch die (zudem junge und hübsche ;-) ) Bedienung das ganze Dilemma mit freundlichen Worten und einem Lächeln erklärt und sich entschuldigt, ist alles wieder in Ordnung und der Gast fühlt sich wohl! So war es am Sonntagabend, 18.6.17.Und das Essen hat prima geschmeckt!
Ein wunderschönes, gemütliches, kleines Lokal mit ausgezeichneter Küche und sehr freundlichem Service. Wenn wir in Marburg sind gehen wir immer zur Ratsschänke, man wird sehr freundlich empfangen und fühlt sich gleich wohl und willkommen. Das Essen ist jedesmal ein Genuß, alles frisch zubereitet mit saisonalen Angeboten. Ich freue mich schon auf unseren nächsten Besuch. Danke

Familiengeführtes Restaurant mit gutbürgerlicher Küche. Exzellentes Essen mit freundlichem Service. Dazu gutes Preisleistungsverhältnis. Haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt. Aufgrund der begrenzten Tischanzahl sollte man reservieren.
Wir wurden äusserst freundlich empfangen und bedient. Das Essen als solches hat uns aber nur mässig begeistert. Beim Gemüse und den Kroketten hatte man nicht den Eindruck von Frischware.
Achtung, mit Kindern muss man dort wirklich nicht hin!!! Wir wollten dort gerne essen und wurden direkt wieder hinaus katapultiert, weil wir 2 Kleinkinder dabei hatten

Sehr gutes Essen. Bedienung sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Leider nach der Bestellung der Gerichte dauerte es lange bis unser Essen kam.
