Nous cherchions un endroit pour manger et cet endroit nous a été recommandé de manière assez urgente. La première salle à manger était assez pleine alors on nous a dirigés vers la deuxième salle, ce qui était idéal car nous avions notre assez grand chien avec nous. Nous nous sommes installés quand ils ont laissé entrer les chiens. Il y a un buffet étendu pour les entrées dans le cabinet réfrigéré, nous étions les premiers dans la nouvelle salle, donc c'était intact et magnifique. Nous avons découvert ce restaurant sur TripAdvisor en planifiant une visite des sites troglodytes. La carte n'était pas utile car l'endroit se trouve en réalité à un grand rond-point sur la D960, loin de l'endroit indiqué sur la carte de TA. Mais en ce qui concerne la nourriture : un buffet varié, bien préparé...suivi d'une sélection de 7/8 plats principaux. Notre groupe a choisi des cuisses de poulet cuites au vin rouge, de la langue de boeuf, du jambon grillé, du poisson grillé. Étaient également disponibles : de la tripes, du carpaccio de viande de boeuf, du steak. Il y avait des fromages que nous n'avons pas goûtés et de nombreux desserts, dont des fruits frais. Bienvenue, nous avons été rapidement installés avec le sourire. Le buffet d'entrées était vaste avec une grande sélection. Il y avait ensuite le choix entre cinq plats principaux pour être équitable. Ce jour-là, nous étions trois et deux plats que je n'ai pas touchés (le travel et l'andouille)... mais nous avons été agréablement surpris par la qualité du steak, mon mari a apprécié le poisson et il y avait un plateau de fromages très joli à regarder. Ensuite, nous avons eu droit à une belle assiette de fromages, du vin en bouteille avec de l'eau et de la limonade, suivi de mignardises, tarte au citron ou glace. GREAT value at lunchtime and evening, used by lorry drivers who are always most polite and busy chatting amongst themselves ... and who know good value when they see it.Not if you like "posh dining" but hey, for the price you get a huge buffet (sometimes with lobster, prawns, crab, etc) with lots of fresh French bread, a choice of "mains" served at your table, a generous basic cheesboard, a choice of very simple puds, and half a bottle of wine per person. Service is always quick and with a smile, and you can move to the bar for coffee afterwards. Réservez une table maintenant

Four of us stopped here for a lunch formule recently. It is a Euro Routiers recommended restaurant and was very full with workmen. We were seated straight away. The daily formule was €12 each, which included a carafe of wine - well we had two, as two of us wnated rose and two wnated red, so excellent value. We each had a beer to start at €2.60 each, and the total bill came to €58.40 for the four of us. The starter was a help-yourself buffet - all fresh and beautifully presented, and all our main courses were very good and freshly cooked..

Called in for lunch. Buffet d'entree and a choice of 5 or 6 main coursesI had the tripe sausage which was lovely, and my wife and daughter had the sole. The sole was cooked to perfection.A choice of 5 cheeses before finishiing off with a choice of desserts.Who can complain for €13 per headDon't come here for the linen and ambiance, but for the great wholesome and wonderful food. Don't be put off by the trucks and truckers.

GREAT value to midday and evening, used by truck drivers who are always polite and busy chat among themselves. and the good worth know when they see it. Not if they posh esszimmer, but hey, for the price they get a huge...buffet (sometimes with lobster, garnel, crabs, etc.) with lots of fresh french brotboard, a the service is always fast and with a smile, and they can then move to the bar for coffee.

Fabulous value for money particularly given the choice and quality of the buffet starters. Good choice of freshly cooked mains excellent cheeseboard plus a dessert. Wine included. We attended as part of a party of about 40 and they were not fazed even though there was an even bigger party in the conservatory. A must if staying in Doue and definitely worth a detour. We popped into our first transport cafe in France and what a surprise. We really enjoyed our meal and it was not expensive. The location was good and service excellent

Great value meal, the staff were friendly. The restaurant was full of workers and truckers but the food wasn't compromised. Huge portions and yummy
