Restaurant Schloss

during the visit to the ambras castle we stopped at lunch in the restaurant inside. offers daily dishes and à la carte menu, average price. we chose to try the famous Austrian wienerschnitzel with graukase (typical Tyrolean) and another recommended dish (meat with tomatoes and gorgonzola accompanied by kartoffelnsalat,) both good. friendly service, spoken languages English and German. There is the possibility to eat both indoors and outdoor tables, and with the sun, surrounded by the beauty of the castle, it is really a pleasure. the only weak point is the absence of toilets (but it is still inside the castle. )

Das Ambiente ist sehr schön gestaltet, trotz Moderne doch sehr im Mittelalterstiel gehalten. Das Essen war hervorragend, ich hatte das Wiener Schnitzel mit Kartoffelsalat und Preiselbeeren, noch nie so einen guten Kartoffelsalat gegessen Die Sacher Torte war sehr weich und saftig. Hier saßen Gäste, die es eilig hatten, sie hatten die Kellnerin gestresst, obwohl diese sehr schnell und freundlich war, anstatt in der kurzen Wartezeit das schöne Ambiente zu genießen, das hat uns etwas gestört. Meine Freundin und ich sind zum Kaffeetrinken dort gewesen. Das Ambiente und das ganze Drumherum hat uns gut gefallen. Der Tee und Kaffee sind sehr gut. Die Bedienung ist schnell, freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Preis /Leistungsverhältnis passt gut. Gerne wieder!
