The Schlussel has the ambiance, food and service that make dining in Europe a little better, and culturally different, from the States, The Mrs. and I shared the signature Chateubriand with a good Bordeaux from a very competent wine list , The meal was served in two flights, the second kept warm tableside until we were ready for it. The owners both came out to check on the food and service and to accept our complements on a very good meal.The restaurant is organized into two area with a local hangout kind of place in the front and a white tablecloth area in the back. It sparkled throughout and appears to have been renovated vary recently.Service was friendly and excellent (it IS Switzerland, after all.) Their English was not so fluent, my German doesn't exist but we still managed to find some means of communicating with humor. Next t ime in CH, I'l be going back.
Es ist immer wider ein genuss im Schlüssel essen zu gehen. Ob ein leckereshaus gemachtes Cordon-Bleu, Orginal Wienerschnitzel am Tisch zubereitet oder ein feines Chateau- Briand mit hausgemachter Sauce Bernaise einfach ein Traum. Auch die Weinkarte mit ausgelesenen Weine aus nah und fern macht jedes mal freude durch zublättern.
