Restaurant Schmiedstube

This is a bistro style restaurant in an old building located in the heart of Bulach. Restaurant is rustic and the ambiance very good. We arrived at ten past six and got a table immediately, even though we did not have a reservation. Within 5 minutes we had our drinks and our order was taken, but then we had to wait 45 minutes for our food.My wife asked the waitress (very politely) if it was always this busy and if it is normal that it takes 45 minutes for the food to arrive, and the waitress replied, Yes, this is perfectly normal, especially if you have not reserved a table (do not see what that has to do with slow service) and added that this was not McDonald's. To be fair, she did apologize for the long wait when we paid the bill.Food was average.

We stumbled acrossed this cosy lil place on date night and it was one of our finest date night we had. It's restaurant is set up in an eclectic style, dimmed lighting making it very cosy. We took a table on the top where it was almost so private for us. We had their Chef's recommendation which was just so delicious till the last bite!

Fantastic food, extremely friendly service and a very peaceful and homely atmosphere. Highly recommended. We will come back keep it up!!

Very nice to sit outside and eat. It was good food and friendly service. We had lunch and both adults and children were happy.
