we came and asked for a table for two to lunch. a little man said that he had only table and sat on a tiny rricket card table so low that our knee wouldn't fit easily underneath. after us, at the entrance,...was a German-speaking couple of tourists, the same man immediately showed a table around the corner in the largest part of the restaurant. I was curious how we had received the “last table” but they immediately sat around the corner. but think, maybe they had a reservation (I was later told by another waitress that they did not) I sat back on my card table. we asked time for a menu. nothing! we just sat there, after the waiting time we left.
we had lunch in cafe de ville. unfortunately we missed a reservation and only have one table directly at the entrance. next time, we will definitely make a reservation to get one of these tables through the window with the big...view of the lake of lucerne. we ordered moules with fries and received two large bowls full of delicious moules. the service is very professional and friendly. the measures are available. definitiw a restaurant to return to luzern for the next time.
the view of the lake of luzern from the outside seats was the best part of the restaurant. the beautiful sea that is paired with the white alps would anyway pull torists. somehow, it was good to eat. we have ordered cheeseburger and vegetables. the restaurant is expensive no...doubt and would burn a hole in her pocket if they decide to complete their competition. but it is really a hidden gem.
