Die Untergrundführung war leider sehr enttäuschend.. Es ging nur durch mehrere alte Weinkeller und nicht wie bei der Stadtführung unter Oppenheim durch.Der Führer behandelte seine Gäste auch nicht wirklich freundlich.. entweder wurde man weggeschoben wenn man da stand wo er hinwollte oder ein etwas kräftig gebauter Mann wurde gefragt ob er schwanger wäre und warum er sein Hemd nicht eine Nummer größer gekauft hat..Nach der "Führung" ging es nochmal in das Restaurant wo man auf den Beginn der Show wartete.Das "Dinner for One" war sehr unterhaltsam und konnte jeden überzeugen.Das Essen..Die Vorspeise.. eine Tomatensuppe.. war nicht schlecht aber auch nichts besonderes..Der Hauptgang, Hähnchen...
Until last saturday I thought that I know all good places and restaurants between Frankfurt and Heidelberg /Mannheim. Restaurant Volkers is something you fall in love with. Sitting in the lovely garden on a sunny saturday afternoon with a view to the second biggest Gothian church between Cologne and Strasbourg and enjoying the outstanding dishes or menus. Service is excellent and very friendly and if not the boss will take care. He is always present and open for a nice chat. His wife is responsible for the kitchen and the ambitious food with primary local and somehow global influences. It will be difficult to find a better restaurant and nicer place in the region. Das Kombi-Ticket Diner-Show inkl. 3-Gänge-Menü ist für die Qualität überteuert.Die Suppe: geschmacklich gewöhnungsbedürftig und ohne Würze. Das Hauptgericht Hähnchenbrust oder so: lauwarm und trocken. Der Nachtisch mit Mini-Kuchen: naja.Einzig empfehlenswert und gut: Spundekäs mit Brezl vor der Show.
