Upon arrival to check in on the 07.07.22 there was nobody at reception, eventually the receptionist came, we got out keys and was explained where our room was and where the breakfast room is ect. We are from South Africa and visited our 94 year old client that recently relocated back to Germany. Our client booked the hotel for us, he was really excited that we were coming to visit him, upon arrival We confirmed that we were booked for Breakfast and Dinner in the Restaurant, this was all confirmed by the receptionist. We had dinner in the restaurant on the 07.07.22 and the service was amazing. The staff was friendly and attentive and the food was amazing. On the 08.07.22, we went to the restaurant, we were approached by the manager I assume, he was not there the previous evening. We said that we have a reservation, he checked his list and said, sorry your name is not on the list and turned around and walked away. I went to the manager and asked if he has anything availability inside, he said yes and again turned around and walked away, he made us feel so unwelcome and uncomfortable. When Our client asked him to check at reception, he said he does not have time for us. I felt so bad, how do you treat a 94 year old with such disrespect? He did not make any effort to accommodate us, mistakes happen, but he could have tried to solve the problem, instead he made us feel unwelcome. This one bad experience ruined our last evening in Leonberg, just because 1 person had a bad attitude. This was our evening to say our goodbyes and it was ruined.
