This place was exactly what we imagined when we decided to visit the Mosel region. A charming place with nice views of the Mosel from the outside patio. This place (Zell) was a nice break from the more touristy area we stayed in Cochem. The food was exceptional and prepared by a chef with great skill. White asparagus soup was delicious and a very nice preparation of a pork medallions. Highly recommended and the best meal we had on our holiday! Also, some very nice Rieslings on the menu as you would expect! Our hostess and server was very personable and friendly - overall, a really really nice experience and that's what it's all about!

I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. The food was absolutely amazing. The meat was cooked to perfection, the vegetables were fresh, and everything blended together in the most beautiful harmony. When they were named "One of the best restaurants in Germany," that was no mistake. The ambience is breathtaking, and the owner is absolutely delightful. This is one of our favorite restaurants now, and we will not only be back, but we will tell everyone we know about it! If you're thinking about eating here for the first time, you will not be disappointed.

We were heartly welcomed by a very clever waitress with a warm smile and great knowledge about the food and wine in the restaurant. We were served superb local food along with local wine. It all tasted exellent and the service was outstanding,The restaurant is rather small, which makes it intimate. It has a rustic, cottage-like interior, with a big, cozy fire-place. The restaurant has a perfect, idyllic location, on the Mosel riverside. If i return to Zell again, I will definitely come back to dine at Maren's and Peter's perfect, little restaurant:-)

We arrived past 8 o'clock in the evening and we're tired and hungry. Frau Wagner recommended us the restaurant and it was quite a nice surprise. Nice view over the Mosel, romantic ambiance. Delicious German food and nice wine (sweet red wine and very sweet dessert wine). Not very detailed menu, but that was not necessary. Lovely waitress who also tried to speak English and was patient when we tried speaking German. It was not cheap but also not that expensive (70€, 1 course, wine and water) Réservez une table maintenant

We went because this place was highly reviewed on trip advisor We took a taxi because it was quite far from our hotel I had a delicious meal my husband was not so impressed and when we arrived we were told there was no steak so half the main course options not available.I didn't care because the vegetarian option was delicious Very nice waiter , fabulous service and creative cooking .Charming cosy romantic spot .

This lovely restaurant in a small half-timbered house overlooking the Mosel thankfully does not serve your all too prominent "Winzerteller". They work with a "farm-to-table" concept and source their produce from local farmers and you can taste it. Everything is fresh and flavorful. We had such a great evening here. The staff is very friendly and helpful too. Go there if you are in the area - highly recommended.

This was part of a belated birthday trip for both of us so we wanted to eat well. Zum Eichamt did NOT disappoint! Even though the menu is rather limited, the portions and flavors are incredible - clearly the chef wants everything he does to be exceptional. Each staff member was tremendously friendly and helpful, and the building is charming in its age and decor. We highly recommend these new food friends!

The second time we visited was for diner. The presentation was nice and the food was delicious. Réservez une table maintenant

We keep coming back to this restaurant now for three years and keep being delighted. Every time there are new interesting dishes on the menu, as well as new wines to discover. Particularly delicious this time was the dry aged beef and the "Maibock" sous vide on asparagus.
