we booked the room for this hotel a month before the stay. the elders of my partner drove 6 hours of paris to visit us about christmas. they came in front of the door and the hotel was closed, emails were not picked up and the phone also. his parents had confirmed the booking a few weeks before personally and they even showed them the room they had booked for them! an absolute scandal of a hotel, and totally unprofessional, not to have been in contact to let us know the situation. how are the guests expected to check into a hotel that is closed?! Luckily we managed to get a room in the hotel lions in jestetten that was worth the money honestly and deserved it.
Wir sind von Ellion am Rhein nach Rheinau gewandert. Als Belohnung kehrten wir im Restaurant zum Salmen ein. Wir wurden freundlich empfangen, die Bestellung wurde sehr schnell aufgenommen und auch das Essen kam flott. Das Essen war sehr köstlich und für uns perfekt gewürzt. Angefangen bei der Kürbissuppe über das Wild bis hin zur feinen gebrannten Creme. Wir werden ganz bestimmt wieder mal einen Spaziergang nach Rheinau machen und uns kulinarisch verwöhnen lassen:-)
under new property. the rooms are functional and very clean. great value at 120 for a double room, including breakfast. eating on the terrace was very good, served on the beautiful terrace in the shade of trees. the breakfast is simple, but good and comes with excellent coffee....Even outside in the warming sun, next to and with views of the Rhine.
my food was good, while my colleague was too fried the calf meat at the piccata and was tough.Service still has potential: candle on the table was only ignited at the start, no parmesan to pasta, even otherwise no submitting of seasoned as salt and pepper, too late to ask if we were still wanted.Hm, all in all sorts.

Dieses etwas in die Jahre gekommene Restaurant ist sehr zu empfehlen für frischen Fisch.Alle Speisen sind vorzüglich zubereitet. Die Lage direkt am Rhein sehr schön gelegen.Der Service sehr aufmerksam und humorvoll.Desserts wunderbar. Die Weine sehr gut gewählt. Jederzeit einen Besuch wert.
eat: very delicious Italian cuisine, but the next morning I had bad tutzwiter but can also come out of another room: more edged by dirt and more urgent renovation, but in my forced situation ok. was grateful that I had found something else.
beautiful location, next to the Rhine, very good fish, inside too dark and cold. rheinau is a beautiful small town next to the German border, definitiw worth visiting.
very good and friendly local. menus well balanced and moderate prices.
