After visiting Meersburg castle we still have some time to have a quick lunch before catching our boat to return to Konstanz. Upon our arrival, I noticed a row of the restaurant on the Seepromenade, and since they looked promising we decided to try one of them. Restaurant Zur Munz was mostly a random selection but somehow looked more appealing to us, than the other ones.Because I wasn’t ready for a main course, I decided to have a soup and a dessert. The dessert was an easy choice since I identified the “Schwarzwalder” as a Black forest cake. But the soup was a harder nut. My German limited to a few often-used words, but the soups on the menu card, that I could translate, didn’t fire up my appetite. On the exclusionary basis, only the “Fladlesuppe” remained. Fladlesuppe? The waiter was talking about crab legs. Perfect, I thought. I like crab soup, so I ordered it. What I’ve got, wasn’t that I expected to. It was a very tasty some kind of soup with some thin noodles like royales. Anyway, it wasn’t a bad choice. My partner had a freshwater fish, called Zander. Probably right from the Bodensee. As he told, it was delicious. We had a fast, attentive service in a very amiable restaurant. The bill with drinks was €29.30, what is considering the location wasn’t high.

We had time for lunch before our return boat trip to Konstanz so we decided this restaurant looked more appealing than others we had seen on the way down what would be the wharf were the boats not all concentrated on one end. I ordered a big beer plus grilled Zander (a local freshwater fish, apparently), while my partner had a soup and cake. They did a good job with both our choices. It wasn't something you dream about but for a place we picked at random it was a good meal and I'd go back if we visited Meersburg again.

We ate here a number of times, and the food is amazing, you will be spoilt for choice on what to eat. The waitress and waiter work very hard to make sure you have a great time and by the end of our two weeks holiday the waitress new our drinks, which is amazing considering how many customers they must see each day. The cuisine is good German recipes and they certainly filled us up after a day of cycling around the lake.I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

This place is a little stuck in the 80s/90s but if you don't mind the decor you'll enjoy your stay here. The view is nice, you're right there on the promenade which is great for people watching and enjoying the lake sights. The cakes are really good and the cappuccino yummy. Service is friendly and quick. I'd definitely recommend stopping here.
