We are staying in Bucaramanga for four weeks and have already eaten here twice and am sure we will be returning again. The menu has a large variety of delicious arepas, including a vegetarian one if you don't eat meat. There are also other options...for full meals if you are really hungry. We tried the sancocho (a special dish on Saturdays) which was equally good and a very generous serving. The atmosphere is charming with both indoor and outdoor seating, and lovely friendly service. The owner was especially helpful in finding out bus options for us to go to Giron after lunch. It's clearly a favourite with locals as it always seems to be busy, and I would thoroughly recommend it.

Highly recommended! Food from Ocaña, Santander. They make arepa ocañera which is a specialty corn flour puck/cake, which is filled with different kinds of savoury fillings (pulled beef, chicken, pork, cheese, etc). The difference from other arepas is that arepas ocañeras are thinner and have one very crispy cover, which makes it really crunchy on the outside and warm and soft on the inside. Very delicious! Aside from that they have a wide offering of typical santanderean cuisine.
