"we went around the block of our hotel royal plaza and noticed a huge new sign hanging from the centro commercial santander plaza. We walked around the block from our Hotel Royal Plaza, and noticed a huge new sign hanging from the Centro Commercial Santander Plaza. After going up the central circular stairs, we discovered a mezzanine full of tables and chairs, with a large TV at one end and a newly outfitted kitchen on the other. We spoke to the uniformed staff, then the cook, communicate through the English-Spanish divide to chose lunch. We washed our hands and sat down to fruit drink and bean soup, followed by our meals; 1 roast chicken and 1 fried fish, both served with rice, cabbage/carrot salad, and plantains.
