I travel to Colombia 3 or 4 times a year. When I come, I look forward to eating at Pecai. I flew on Monday. They are closed on Mondays Tuesday I walk down to have dinner. All the tables were lined up and lights hanging everywhere. I was met by one of the waiters who recognized me from earlier trips. He said he was sorry but they were closed for a private party. I asked him if they were open the next night Wednesday oh yes, he said......No Problem I said I would come back. Wednesday I walk back down there to be greeted by the same waiter with the same story.....In my own broken Spanish I asked him why he didn't inform me of this the night before? He had no answer. I said OK and left. This is one of the best places in Rio Negro to eat. You would think they would keep part of the restaurant for their loyal patrons and a separate section or the other half of the restaurant for the parties and dinners!!! Again I am reassured that they will be open the next night...………..I walk down to the restaurant for the third night and again they are closed for a private party......You would think they would at least post a sign saying this.....Nope they just turn people away as they showed up...….The food is the best, but the customer service is terrible...….I really do like this place but I do not expect them to stay open if they treat their patrons like they did me.
My friend and I ordered food to deliver Saturday evening (the venue is pretty nice, but we are in a pandemic and wanted to play it safely). They accused our card and then sent a message 45 minutes later that they were from one of the things we had ordered as a page. Okay, no problem. Then they called 55 minutes after the order and said they had no delivery tonight. We wanted to refund our money, and they said they were doing it Sunday or Monday. It's a beautiful place and the food is pretty good. But that's terrible service to charge someone and tell them only an hour later that you don't make delivery this night. And that's nothing to say about the fact that they don't refund our money for one or two days? I don't give them a star because I want to be honest and honest. The food is pretty good and the location is nice. But this experience is enough to ruin our impression.
The venue looks great, the service is great, there is space enormous, you can even take your 10 dogs for a walk, everything is great, but the food! The food is terrible. If you try to do everything: pizzas, bread bowls, hamburguers, hot dogs, lasagnas, meat, etc., nothing results well. It is a wasted place until they find minimal decent food.
