Out hiking the old town of Braganca; around the town square and environs when the lunch pangs hit. We walked by what seemed to be endless cafes and it seemed like we'd have to walk up to the castle before we'd find a restaurant that was open for lunch. Then, out of the blue, Restaurant Sport appears. It's in the direction of the castle, on a little side street, only a couple of minutes walk from the town square. A restaurant, and open for lunch! And full of locals too! The inside really was packed, but a table was available on the outside so we claimed it. beautiful side that goes unnoticed. the name of the place does not draw attention, but eating is exquisite. they give them a pate, brot and tender wine as soon as they sit down. the tenderoin was of very good quality. we ordered cheese, salad, a part lamb chop and ripen and water and wine to drink. we ate so much and so good that we could not order dessert, total cost €41. If I could repeat, I would repeat with closed eyes. Found this restaurant accidentally when looking for a place to have lunch in Braganca. It was full of locals (which is always a good sign) and we had to wait for 10 minutes until we've got a table. The fixed price lunch menu included: bread, wine, a soup or a salad, a meat or a fish dish with side dishes (potatoes and rice), a choice of dessert and a coffee. We took the soup and the meat dish, all was excellent, huge portions. And the best thing was the bill, the complete menu (incl. wine, dessert and coffee) was just EUR 9,50 per person! We highly recommend it!
Great food! Also very well priced. We ordered the boneless veal which actually is one huge steak. It came with rice, salad and very good french fries. The portions were very large and the cost was 13,50 €. We also had the vegetable soup as a starter and it was magnificent! Our waiter Carlos was excellent! We followed his advice and ordered just one to share. It was more than we could eat. Highly recommend this place which is in the center of town just minutes from our Hotel Baxio which I also highly recommend! Réservez une table maintenant
Muy buena relación calidad precio. En relación a los demás restaurantes de la zona el precio es muy ajustado, y la carta aunque no es muy extensa cumple de sobra. El servicio amable, y el local y las mesas sencillos. La comida fue una grata sorpresa (patatas fritas caseras). En nuestro caso la francesinha y la posta de vitela un acierto.
fantastic attention to every time. eat to praise many years ago. meat for two €13. cod €15. all very rich. a place to repeat (original) atencion fantástica en todo momento. la comida a precios de hace muchos años . la carne para dos de sobra 13€. bacalao 15€. muy rico todo. un lugar sin duda para repetir
