This was our second visit to Resto Rene, and initially we were very flattered to be remembered and welcomed. We came with friends who were visiting. The food did not disappoint, however I regret to say that the service did. The staff told us they were cleaning up after an event prior to our arrival. But no table has been prepared for us on our arrival, despite booking months ago. We were given menus very soon, but had to wait 40mins to order. After ordering, our drinks arrived but weren’t complete, it transpired they didn’t have one of the drinks available. They also didn’t have the wine we ordered. We visited this restaurant on Friday 22nd April for a birthday celebration. We travelled from Alicante on the tram and had a delightful journey. We can 't praise the retsaurant staff and the quality of the food highly enough. Lina and Iago were very attentiave members of staff who were incredibly friendly and knowlegdable. Our vegetarian menu was absolutely superb and the restaurant is beautiful, stylish and has a lovely view across the boats in the harbour to the sea. Because we hadn 't realised the last tram left when it did, we had to ask for our last course 'to go ' and Lina even drove us to the tram stop to make sure we got back to Alicante safely! This was a grest experience. The waitress was seedet and funny. She explained all the dishes and wines and was truly forthcoming. We took the sweetness menu. It tasted very good with some New combinations that we will use in our pen cooking. Only the dessert-the mille feulle-was a bit disappointing.
25 minutos andando para encontrarlo cerrado, el horario no es lo correcto ni por Internet ni desde su propia puerta. No cogen el teléfono tampoco. Pena. Y no volveré. . 1 hora de camino para nada. Quien paga la gasolina?
